Cape Rail Company Train to Houw Hoek Hotel
Enjoy a relaxed long-weekend rail journey into the scenic Overberg region.
Guests depart from Cape Town or Somerset West and travel by heritage train through the countryside to destinations including Elgin, Groenrug, Houwhoek Hotel or Botrivier.
This flexible travel experience allows guests to plan their own weekend escape, choosing where they wish to disembark and how they spend their time in the region.
During the weekend, guests may also attend the Elgin Railway Market Wine Festival taking place on 25 and 26 April.
